Alyssa Neary, Psy.D

Dr. Neary is a school and clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults.

She conducts comprehensive psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations to help clients and their families gain a deeper understanding of their challenges and to provide strategies and support for moving forward. Her approach considers multiple factors, including clinical interviews with the client and family members, school observations, questionnaires, communication with school personnel and medical or mental health professionals, along with formal testing.

Alyssa is a graduate of the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor there, teaching multiple assessment courses. Her other experience includes being the Assistant Director of the Learning & Evaluation Center at Westchester Jewish Community Services, and she conducts forensic mental health and risk assessments for the Westchester County Family Courts.

Before becoming a clinical psychologist, Alyssa earned a Masters of Education from Lehman College and taught high school in New York City for six years. This experience gives her unique insight into how student struggles can impact them in the classroom.
